WATER CLARIFIER TANK REFURBISHMENT
PSI prepped the water clarifier tanks using abrasive blasting to a white metal standard for optimal coating adhesion. A Novalac coating was then applied to a dry film thickness of 18–23 DFT. This specialized coating provides superior protection against constant water exposure, extending the operational life of the tanks.
MCC CABINET BEAUTIFICATION
As part of site improvement projects at various substations and power plants, PSI refinished the exterior of the MCC cabinets. This work improves the appearance of the electrical equipment and contributes to a cleaner and more professional facility, reflecting a high standard of maintenance.
CHEMICAL ENGINEERS ON STAFF
Coating failure is usually a chemistry problem before it's an application problem: a system that isn't rated for the chemical it's exposed to, a substrate that wasn't compatible with the primer, a cure that never got the conditions it needed. PSI keeps chemical engineers on staff to work through that before a coating goes on, not after it fails. When a job involves an unusual chemical exposure, an uncommon substrate, or a coating system spec that needs to be checked against the actual service environment, that review happens in-house.
